We have a team of patient safety experts and recognize that patient care is complicated. People are not prepared to be patients. Often the whole family needs support and we can help bring the patient’s local support in and train as the patients advocate long after we are out of the picture.
After a short interview with the patient or family, we let you decide what you want to accomplish and we help fulfill that goal. Preparing as a patient can be accomplished with the people already part of the “team” and at the patient’s side.
Most of our work is through Zoom meetings or telephone conference calls and much of the hands-on work is done by the people who already know the patient best. If you are ready for a team approach, we are here for you with 25 years’ experience.
If you are on Long Island or surrounding areas, we may make hospital visits to be sure the patient and family feel confident in the care being received. Anyone who has suffered an unplanned outcome in their medical care already can be confident that we are familiar with the extra support needed in navigating the healthcare system.
We also work with “vulnerable” populations such as people with disabilities, the transgender community and anyone in need of extra support.
