My mom is 91 years “young” and too vital to put in a home. Her desire is to stay in her home as long as she lives! And dear Deidra has helped grant her that wish!
Thanks to Deidra, we have mom’s meds in order, we have mom on a routine that she now knows and understands. We have a care giver with our mom on a daily basis who also communicates with Deidra.
I live out of state, so I have Deidra going to the doctor appointments meeting with her doctor and then conveying to our family what took place. Deidra also has a better handle on what meds my mother is on, then I do! And she is able to explain to the medical professionals regardless of the primary care physician or the emergency clinics/hospitals when mom had to go due to dehydration and/or UTI, what meds she was on and how long she had been feeling the way she had.
In other words, Deidra has been a Life Saver, not just our advocate! Her kindness and genuine care for her patients is obvious with your first meeting with her. And she handles the stress from the “loved ones” (including yours truly) with patience and dignity.
Deidra has a gift and compassion for her clients and their loved ones. If you have the opportunity to hire her, you will be so glad you did. She takes the worry out of children taking care of their parents.
Deidra Kindred has been such a BIG help to us since we were connected with her back in the spring 2022. At first we just had her check in with our dad, take his vitals, see how he was getting along, but as time has gone by, she has worked with the doctors and rehab that he has been to. She has helped organize medicines, help plan what to say when having meetings with health professionals, what to look for in assisted living places, gave encouragement about the medicines Dad is on/was on, helped us decide whether it was time for him to get assistance, suggested home nursing agencies and suggested an agency that visited Dad at his apartment to determine if he needed an antibiotic on a weekend. If I have any questions or concerns, I feel I can contact her for any reason. She is always happy to help in any way she can. Her friendliness and caring towards Dad make me feel confident that he is in the right place. I appreciate how pleasant Deidra is to visit with when she and I make contact. Deidra has gone on doctor visits with us and pops into the hospital or rehab or apartment to check in on Dad. She has access to his records and can help explain what it means. I would have been lost or crazy had Deidra not been with us on this medical journey!
Thank you so very much for your time and caring towards our dad!!!
I recently attended Deidra’s in-person class on building your personal Medical Binder. The session was enjoyable and informative. Deidra has a heart for helping others and it showed when answering questions and concerns to participants about preparing their Medical Health binder. I also found it fairly easy to complete my binder when I returning home.
Deidra is always available to answer my questions, she never makes me feel rushed or unimportant. Deidra is a wonderful advocate and she brings so much knowledge to me and her other clients. I highly recommend Deidra as an Advocate or Care Manager and tell others about her at every opportunity I have.
I am so pleased to have worked with Ms. Deidra Kindred. As my nurse advocate, she helped with navigating care for my parent’s medical care. Her professional demeanor and expert guidance was well worth my financial investment. When it comes to money, no one can replace having partners who can ensure the best care for a loved one. Don’t hesitate and please use her services. Personally, she has helped me with my recent discovery of diabetes diagnosis –She is brilliant, caring, personable, and a permanent part of my family.
After my mother’s stroke, I had to see a therapist. My therapist recommended that I find a nurse advocate, and once I was working with Deidra, I lost most of the reason to keep seeing a therapist! My mom has a zillion other health issues and a dozen specialists. She’s diabetic and really cannot take care of herself and I am not cut out to be a caregiver. With Deidra coordinating things, I am simply free to be my mom’s son. I’ve recommended her to close family. I know absolutely that my mother is safe with Deidra, and that she’s seeing the docs that she needs to. Mom’s finally doing well at a new Assisted Living place (and Diedra coordinates with their nursing staff). Mom’s a retired RN herself, and calls Deira her “Sis.” Mom doesn’t trust easily, and the last thing that she trusts is incompetence and disinterest – Deidra is the diametrically opposite of those things. I wish I had known that her profession is a thing and that I had found her years ago, might have avoided the stress that caused the stroke.
Deidra has been great to work with. My mom has had health issues recently and since I am a mom of two with a full time job, I am unable to keep up in order to make sure my mom was getting the best care possible. Deidra sat down with me to help me create my mom’s medical binder and showed me how that can help. I am looking forward to working with her to get my mom’s medical situation under control. She is very caring and easy to work with, and treats her clients with professionalism and care.
I can not say enough good things about Deidra and her company. I’m an autistic disabled 20 year old who has had a hard time navigating my health and she’s been amazing at helping me. From doing the medical binder all the way to her being there for appointments she is an amazing and wonderful lady who truly cares about her clients and is there for them. If I could give her unlimited stars I would. I will never be able to show how grateful I am to her and the care she provides me.
I could not say enough to justify everything Deidra has done for myself and my family. She’s been there for us through everything and has been so kind, attentive, supportive, dependable, and dedicated. She inspires me to stay motivated and hopeful of our situation which I so appreciate.
Deidre has been a life saver and a breath of fresh air for our family in the care of our disabled brother. She knows how to navigate the healthcare system, has excellent resources, is kind and caring, listens to our concerns, communicates effectively, and has a positive attitude that comes through in everything she does. While taking care of the big things, she never forgets the small things that make a difference to our brother and make him feel special, like sending him a card on his birthday. We sleep better at night knowing that our brother is in good hands with Deidre in charge both now and into the future. Thank you, Deidre!
Deidra is fantastic. I live far away from my brother who is disabled, but Deidra has taken away my worries. She looks after him as if he were a member of her family. She takes precautions when screening people to perform in-home services. She makes sure he has the help he needs and gets him to all of his appointments (after also making those appointments). When I bring up concerns, she comes to the meetings with solutions. She knows the resources available and is able to get just what my brother needs — all with a sunny attitude and respect for the opinions of her clients. Thank you for everything, Deidra!
Kudos to Deirda!!!!! The Health care system has changed drastically over the course of the last few years. Medical staff are more concerned with quantity over quality. That is NOT the case with Deidra! She was a breath of fresh air and a beacon of light in what seemed to be a dark situation regarding mothers health. She was attentive, detail oriented, & extremely patient with the many questions that we had. It was very insightful to have an in depth look at my mother\’s medical care. I wish that more health care professionals cared as deeply about their patients as she did. After our meeting, I am confident that we are on the right track to a better quality of life. I cannot thank her enough for giving us the tools to take control of my mother\’s health.
I am a Disabled Army veteran. I have been receiving care in the VA system for 15 years. Not once have the medications prescribed been explained as thoroughly as Nurse Advocate Deidra Williams explained. Every new ailment was handled with a new prescription. I have gone to outside healthcare and when I presented my backpack of medications, they would not even entertain looking in the bag.
One appoint with Deidra I have interactions of medications described in detail, an organized health and life plan binder and several questions to discuss with my VA provider.
I can honestly state that meeting help me understand the symptoms I have been struggling with for the last two years.
The Nurse Advocate is a dire need. Deidra was patient, honest and thorough. I will be recommending her to several of my veteran friends.
Deidra is amazing. She has combined decades of nursing and healthcare system experience with her bubbly and down-to-earth personality to create an invaluable service for patients and families trying to navigate our dysfunctional healthcare system. She understands the mass of paperwork and other administrative work physicians do that patients never see. She is masterful at working with me and my staff to help us make sure that patients and their families are getting all the information they need to make the best decisions for their health.
Professional, caring, knowledgeable…. I have recommended Deidra’s services to my children from when I reach that point in my life that no one wants to talk about becoming elderly. I don’t want to burden my children with the task of not knowing how to handle my care when I no longer am able. Knowing that Deidra will be there for my children is priceless. Highly recommend her services.
Deidra is a great nurse. She helped us to become more organized at a time when my family was struggling to keep up with my moms meds and appointments. I recommend her services to anyone who needs help managing the care of a loved one.
Words can not possibly express my gratitude for your services. I needed some to assist with understanding my medical situation, talking to my primary care physician and Specialists in order to ensure my care was the best possible for me and my family. Deidra did just that! She attended several doctors visits with me to ensure everyone was on the same page regarding my care. She assisted me with understanding my options and next steps. I wish I had this service years ago! Again, thanks I’m on the road to recovery!!!
Your Nurse Advocates was invaluable and provided a great resource for my recent care for my Mother. Deidra Kindred was caring, professional, kind and skillful in her expert handling of our case. We are grateful to her and her team. Great job!
Thanks for your assistance. Sometimes even if you are a nurse and you know how to navigate the health care system, you still need help. I was looking for a specialist for a specific medical condition, I contacted 2 different providers, one said it would be a year before I could get an appointment and the other said it would be 4 months. With Deidra’s help, I was able to get my family member into see a doctor. I consider Deidra “my nurse advocate.”
